Full Version: Driving!
Western Horseman Forums > General Discussion > This Issue
I can't wait to drive. I have been driving our tractor, truck up to the pond, four wheeler (I want one so bad), and in the fairgrounds parking lot. I just hope I get a boyfriend this year to drive me to lunch or something. LOL JK

well...if that ain't the right reason to want a boyfriend, then what is?...lol, driving's only fun for about the first month or two after you get your license...i been driving legal since i was fourteen and also illegally too...but, nowadays it turns into a fight with my parents about who "has" to drive

Mike
That's not the only reason to want a boyfriend. lol I was joking, but I won't mind driving my parents around or driving to hockey practice. Just the little driving will help.
I just want to drive my new truck when I get it. I want to be able to leave with the horses in the trailer and go riding without a big debate about, "we have not time". Sorry if that sounds wierd. LOL
I see where you're coming from tho.
Why do guys, that you ask for a ride, always think that you like them!? [Confused]

Oh, this brings back memories. My husband never had the opportunity to learn to drive until we met.

I was barely 17, been driving less than a year, thought him to drive, he drove us everywhere on a permit for 2 years. Got his licsence. Thought me to drive a standard shift.

No looking back. Have had to learn to drive everything, including big rig, no matter how scared I was.

Learn all the skills you can. Life is a journey!

Haha, sry Cg14 I've never had that problem. About the guys thinking they like you probalem. The we don't have time oh boy I've heard that one 11ty billion times.

But ya the guys have always thought of me as one of the guys so I've never had that problem - I just go cruizin with them all the time. Its een awesome cruising the streets of lemberg pulling Dukes of Hazzard tricks, ya I know not smart but its waay too much fun!

i hope the guys dont think i like them when i ask for a ride. That would be kinda akward. Mainly cause im a guy. But driving sucks once you get too, especially when they make you pay for insurance, its only okay if you get to drive the work truck with the flatbed, and or the semi

well, when i had my school permit, i'd get that little rush of going to the local general store, which was off "my route". But now that i can drive regular, i gotta do bigger and better things to get my high, lol. every once in a while when i'm having a bad day, i'll sit at one of the 2 stoplights in town and when that sucker turns, i give the old dodge hell, and all you can hear is the tailpipes roarin and tires squealing.....and that little sound of money flying right outta your back pocket straight into the gas tank, but it's worth it, it can turn my day around, that and just driving like i stole it on gravel....wow, i'm prolly gonna look back when i'm older and i got a lick of sense and wonder how i haven't rolled that thing a few times and do one of those "god, how'd i ever make it to college alive?" things.

Mike
I'm not sure you can get a little tiny lick of sense in that small vocabulary brain. O Just Kidding, I am not that mean. [Big Grin]

I thought this topic was about driving horses. My mistake.

Farm Kid 16, driving like you describe is the reason your insurance costs twice a much as mine and why parents get gray hair.

My daughter is 9. I'm going to teach her to drive the flat bed in granny gear this winter so she can drive while I put out feed for the cows.

I never had the problem either of asking guys for a ride. That's because they were asking me for a ride - 'cause mine was so sweet! I was so anal about my vehicles, it was a local privilege to have ridden in my truck.
Anyway, I still love driving, but with gas so high, I cant cruise around backroads when I'm feeling down or restless, and that really gets me.

Hope you dont teacher to drive like my grandma. I was scared beyond death when i rode, with her driving. (She drove, in the city, faster than i do, anywhere)
No what I was trying to say is that if I ask a guy for a ride and I know him, why does he think I like him. O well I got everything straitened out so I'm good. lol sorry. I just want to get to a restraunt before anyone else during lunch so I can get my food, eat, and then be back to class with enough time to hang out. I haven't been less than 3 minutes late, EVER. I know you guys are like, GOODY TWOSHOES. I don't care lol I like to be organized and early than late. Sorry for getting off the topic!!!
(don't care for typos right at this moment I will fix them later when I feel like it)
