Hi ya'll, I'm looking for a saddle for my 3 1/2 year old daughter (just getting up on a horse). We have full size quarter horses and need something that will be of quality, safe, comfortable, and fit her horse. I'd like to buy a new or used stock saddle somewhere. The makers that I'm familiar with don't make youth sizes. Any recommendations on makers of good youth saddles (12" seat)? What to look for? And reputable places to buy them? I've been looking for weeks and am getting more and more confused! Thanks for your help and time!

hi-

i have a 4 and a half year old...he's a big kid too! we are using a 10" saddle. a 12" would be way to big at this point.

having said that, its hard to find in a qh tree. ours is a wide pony tree, and it seems to work. realize that your child is not going to place a bunch of stress on the horse, and in all likelihood, is really going for pony rides at this point.
