Mustang Blue
Hey ya'll, just curious what kind of bit everyone uses, and a little piece about why that choice and what disipline you ride.

I use a full cheek snaffle on my daughter's newly started mustang, a D-ring coppermouuth snaffle on my other newly started mustang.
A coppermouth curb with roller & short shank on my older seasoned mustang.
And on my Appy mare, I've continued her original owners use of a short shank Argentina Snaffle..no other reason then that is what she was used to using as a Head'n horse.

I dont use snaffles ever. Depending on which horse im riding, I will be in a Bosal, A two rein, with a low port 7" cheeked bit (a silver overlay crockett bit, for those who remember that name), and a US mouth finishing bit. I ride western for work.
