As a guy who is fortunate enough to have a Mom who is still married to my Dad after a 30 year stretch, I totally concur! I couldn't ask for a better Mom, or a better childhood, better parents, or better role models. I cannot find anything negative to say about Mom (As it should be!). Incidentally, I couldn't ask for better Equine moms either! The limited experience that I have had with breeding on my place, the mares I had were superb mothers. For that, and carrying my fat butt for what seemed to be endless days of work without refusal, they have homes for life. No amount of money could buy them.

I was riding on Saturday, and I got to see a brand new mom...a doe with a fresh fawn. We got withing 35 yards of them before she ever saw us. The doe bounded away and Boogie and I rode up on the fawn, just to have a look. It was sooooo SWEEEET! We didnt get close enough to ruin anything, and just eased on by. I couldnt believe God blessed me with seeing something like that. Creation is so marvelous! God Bless ALL mothers!

Sadly, it was not to be for me or my friends and family.
A dear friend's grandson along with his best friend were killed in a horrific motorcycle wreck on Saturady.
They were good kids and will be greatly missed.

lona, my condolences as well. So sorry to hear of your loss. Its especially sad to lose young ones.

Thankyou. I will tell Stella. She raised Devin over the past few years after her daughter/Devin's mom passed away. Your prayers for Devin & Mike's families and friends be greatly appriciated and received.

Please, if you have children, family, friends that ride without helmets, beg them to, whatever it takes. These boys were only 19 & 17.
