Maybe I'm the only geek that is interested in this kind of thing, but here it is.

Would they help me rope on a 55 degree vertical slope of loose shale? They look kinda expensive too.
ps...look for a package in a week or so.

From the article about using these shoes:
Time was of the essence, so resting the horse to let his feet recover was not an option.
'Nother gimmick? This seems to reflect back on those postings about Eight Belles .... that derby horse which was put down last week-end.
Seems to me they should have taken the proper course and let the horse rest - oh, but this is a race horse; we can't do that!
Pardon the sarcasm and cynicism, folks. I'm still shaking my head over that one.

They look interesting.
Right now I use shoes similar to these called No Vibe aluminum shoes, only diffrence is the NV's don't have the harder outer ring on them (although they cost the same at $30 for two). I put these on a few of our barrel horses that are running on the harder rodeo ground, they have seemed to make a diffrence for one horse. Jury is still out on the other horse they're used on.
