Hello. I'm looking at an older model Courts Camarillo Saddle. Any opinions on quality?
PiconPunch
Courts are an ok saddle for what they are. Just a factory cookie cutter kind of deal but they are decent and will serve your needs.

PiconPunch,

Thanks for your thoughts. My new horse just turned three. I am going to back him in this saddle. It has double D" front rigging, which gives me a couple of opinions for saddle placement. It is a round skirt and light weight. Not to thrilled about the barrel horn- sad.gif

My personal choice is always a 7/8th or 3/4 rigged saddle, full double rigs just dont seem to fit a horse as nice in my opinion. Thats just my choice.

PiconPunch,

I had a custom saddle made for my other horse. The rigging that was custom made (3-way leather) is in almost the same position as the double D (looks like two UU ) in the Courts saddle. The Courts is an older model. This colt is going to mature over the next three years. The sire was very drafty (14.2hh and about 1250lbs) and the dam through both draft and more refined stock.
