Hi, I"m Evan and I was just wondering if any of you out there have ever used or own a bridle bit with a mona lisa mouth piece? I am slightly interested in purchasing one. My question is how wide and tall is the port (roughly)? Also it looks like it has a little tongue relief is it easy for a horse to pick up and hold the bit. Also do you think it would work well for a younger horse such as is it a good two rein mouth piece? Thanks in Christ Evan

Evan,

I have a mona lisa in my Garcia bit. The port is about 1.5-2 " wide and about 1.5 tall. The two horses I have ridden in it really seem to like it- one is a spade horse and the other one doesn't have enough flex for the spade. Both straight up bridle horses regardless. IMHO- I would say it is a decent two-rein mouth piece, if the foundation is there (course most will work in this situation) smile.gif

Coin,
Thanks for the help! You say you have two bridle horses, if you don't mind me asking how are they bred?
