Hello from Mosul, Iraq......

Don't know if anyone has been missing me or not, but I have signed on for a 12 month tour as an Agricultural Advisor for the State Department/U.S. Army.

Left for this post the middle of October and have not had an opportunity to let everyone know.

It is currently raining here and has for the last 24 hours.....everyone would be surprised at the amount of farm land that in in Iraq.....It used to produce the majority of the small grains for the middle east and was known as the 'bread basket" of the middle east.

Security still is a serious problem with small cell insurgents scattered through out the country.

INternet access is uncertain, but if anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to try and answer them.

The hardest part being over here is missing my family and my horses......playing with camels just ain't the same.
