well, howdy, y'all...

i am one of those crazy folk who has wanted to convert a barn into a house since i read a story about same in grade school...
well, finally found someone who has done it...
up the road a piece from fort worth, out in the country by decatur, texas, a family either built or took over a steel, out of the box barn and converted it into a really pretty house...where the hayloft would be is a long family room/tv area..downstairs, the main barn part is a kitchen, dining, living area, and add on lean to's have become bedrooms...pretty neat...
we had a big 30' square barn up in glenrock, wyoming that i kept prospecting to make into a two storey house...needed a cement floor, walls, partitions, and a loft, but could have been done...
actually a pretty good idea if your'e good at electrical wiring, plumbing, etc..a real do-it-yourself project...
