Hello All,

I have a question for anybody who is willing to answer. I am a currently enrolled in college completing my degree in Equine Science and Agriculture Business. I want to own a horse breeding and training business in the future. Probably Quarter Horses doing anything from ranch work to rodeo events. However, I do not come from a background relating to horse breeding or training. I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice on how to start into the industry and to gain the knowledge and experience to be good in my chosen profession. I am currently looking into an internship, however, it is rough going because there are not alot places advertising internships online doing this sot of things. Could anybody give me advice on where to look? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who took the time to read this.

Sharon

P.S. I had previously put this in the training section but maybe more people will see it this way. Thanks!

If you have Facebook, look up Rta Olsen from San Antonio. She's a big Western Trainer in this area. Ask her if she has time to talk.
