I inherited a great deal of tack from my mom recently. In the box I just got I found a very cool rope bitless bridle. some refer to it as an Indian bosal. I've seen ones that are currently produced today & nothing looks like this one! I really think it's neat, obviously someone knew what they were doing when they made this one - because the rings are spliced into the rope. I know she ( my mom) lived in Kansas, thats about it.

Just trying to figure out if these were maybe mass produced at one time, or maybe this is one of a kind. It doesn't look very well used & its pretty clean. I've seen alot of tack - but never anything like this one. I'm not planning on ever selling it, but just curious about it's background.

I put it on my donkey to model it smile.gif
(btw, long time WH reader - since '93 )

thanks for looking.

Sure does look interesting and very effective, somewhat like a Hackamore.

Howdy and welcome Akyrmoto. Never seen anything like it in my 47 years around horses. Interesting.

Hello,
This looks like a really great bridle, is seems to have all the pressure points down. Who ever made this did a super job. Wish i had one to try on my gelding. Thanks for sharing this and the pictures where done really well. Happy Trails Sherry
